Tavia Yeung, Raymond Lam, and Bobby Au Yeung were filming “An Uninvited Date” last night. The scene was about Tavia not listening to husband Bobby’s warning, and running to the “third-party” Raymond’s side. She ran so hard that her high heel came off. Bobby picks her high heel up for her, and Raymond helps her put it back on. Even though Tavia was panting from all of the running, she expresses that she felt like she was Cinderella with Raymond helping her put on her shoe. She laughs, “The idol of tens of thousand girl fans is helping me put on my shoe. I definitely feel fortunate! But, I feel most fortunate for Bobby having to carrying my shoe!”

In addition, Raymond plays a somewhat good and somewhat evil demon in the series, and he feels it is a big challenge for him. When asked if he is worried whether his fans will be jealous of him helping Tavia put on her shoe, he said, “I have worked with her the most in TVB, and I have known her for the longest, so I am not worried”. On the other hand, Bobby was asked if he has any kiss scenes with Tavia, he expresses that he does not want any, as he feels embarrassed when filming kiss scenes”.

Note: Heh, heh, heh. Raymond never looks this happy doing other stuff ^^ Great to see him getting meatier, but it was obvious since he was filming with Tavia. Always looks healthier after filming with her!

The first news articles about this series had already been described as the “Hong Kong version of Detective Galileo”, even if it is or is not a remake of the Japanese series, the fact that it is targeting the collaboration of Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung and Kenneth Ma is already worth anticipating. The trio’s last collaboaration was seven years earlier in the series, “Eternal Happiness”! The youngsters of that time have now all gone through and experienced adulthood and can lament that time flies.

Said to be similar to “Detective Galileo”, the producer in fact says that it is merely the characterisation of the leads that are similar, a physicist male lead and a newcomer police officer female lead. Raymond’s detective character is always dressed in a dress suit, with a tie or bow, all combining with his handsome aura for a perfect match. Once filming begins, he has an air of coolness that sets him apart from normal people and Raymond’s dialogue is full of physics terms and concepts. This is pitiful for Raymond, who in his school days was only mediocre at physics and to have to memorize these complex terms wihich are totally foreign to him. It seems that the title of “NG King” may be heading towards him, add oil Raymond!

Tavia, however, has a more relaxed and comfortable time filming, such that you really want to tell her, “this is work, not play”, but each time you see her happy face, you want to join in with the fun too. With her long hair tied in a ponytail and a wardobe of always fashionable checkered shirts, Tavia’s look of a cool policewoman comes right out. Standing next to Raymond, the other anticipated point of the series comes out, that is Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung are finally playing a couple, since the fateful separation in “Twin of Brothers”. This time, both play male and female lead in this relaxed modern love story, it’s anticipated that they will finally end up together this time round.

But how is that we have yet to see the romantic sweet scenes and we already see the sad break up scene? Detective Lam and Sergeant Tavia were “negotiating” at the piers but eventually it still ended in a break up. Tavia, who is known for her crying scenes, cried extremely professionally, and then inhaled a large amount of the sea water in the air, causing her throat to be both itchy and hurt. Detective Lam, you really are very heartless, really paralleling the heartless and emotionless attitude of Masaharu Fukuyama’s character in Detective Galileo. However, once filming stops, Tavia wipes dry her eyes and blows her nose before returning to the smiling carefree Tavia and jumps down from the box. It turns out that to adjust to Raymond’s height, Tavia must use a wooden box. Though this scene is very saddening and heartbreaking, but the producer has opened up and said that the series is all about love and romance and so I (the reporter) trust the producer’s word and anticipate the scenes to come.

How about our playboy cop Kenneth Ma? Like Officer Tavia, he also has to suffer under the changing weather to arrest criminals and doesn’t have Professor Lam’s luxury of peacefully enjoying the air condition. However, Kenneth has another extra luxury! Just seeing him surrounded by beauties of different countries, it can already be observed that he is enjoying alot of attention from the opposite gender, not to mention that he has intimate scenes with model Lisa S. Though Officer Tavia has a tough time, in the end she gets her happy ending. Professor Lam recieves a Physics award at some award ceremony and still in his tuxedo attire, rushes to Officer Tavia to propose. It seems that the previous depressing breakup scene was just a small climax. But it seems that Tavia is a little afraid to accept Professor Raymond’s marriage proposal, she’s agraid she will be hunted down by the latter’s fans! So it’s better off to be
“brothers” after all.

“Beyond the Realm of Conscience” has started airing and recently became a hot topic. In addition to the beautiful scenery and the gorgeous costumes, almost all of TVB’s best actresses are casted in the series. What people are pay attention to most this year is Tavia Yeung, who is rumored to win the “Best Actress” award. At this stage Tavia has not turned evil yet, but she filmed the last scene for “Shall We State the Case” and appeared to have an actress’s style. She was filming a proposal scene and actually asked Raymond Lam in public to kneel down. Fortunately they are old buddies, otherwise people would think she’s using (TVB’s) favoritism and that she’s aloof.

Script didn’t include kneeling

The cast and crew members went to Yau Ma Tei to start filming early in the morning. It attracted a lot of people and attracted even more people when Tavia and Raymond came out. They had to film the scene where Raymond proposed to Tavia. Tavia was never embarrassed about having to film (this scene) in public, and was actually very happy: “I will tell Raymond to kneel down and propose to me! (won’t you be embarrassed?) No! He’s the one who should be embarrassed, not me! Haha! If there was such a person who will kneel down in public and propose to me, I would immediately agree! Haha!” As for Raymond, knowing that Tavia asked him to kneel down, isn’t worried about the embarrassment. Raymond: “The kneeling wasn’t included in the script though! I’ve never kneeled down in front of so many people…. good thing these pants aren’t mine!”

Hearty and Serious

Whenever an artiste is becoming more popular, they’re said to gain favoritism (from TVB) and become aloof. But that day, before they started filming, Tavia was chatting and laughing with the crew members. She didn’t mind the reporters taking pictures of her laughing. She made everyone very happy. When they officially started filming the scene, Tavia turned very serious. Her professional attitude is something to commend. No wonder TVB would like to promote her as the first female lead.

Western People were also attacted

Besides Raymond and Tavia filming that day, Kenneth Ma was also there. It’s not surprising to see Raymond and Tavia surrounded by people taking pictures. The most surprising thing is that Western people also like TVB dramas. That day, besides a bunch of neighbours, students, etc. watching them film, there were two overseas people. Voice Over: With Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma and Astrid Chan casted in , today finally in amidst the busy street filmed the last scene. Even though, this scene does not confirm whether Raymond and Tavia will have a happily ever after ending, seeing Raymond publically propose to Tavia in public is definitely a very touching scene.

Raymond: Tavia doesn’t need to be nervous, the one who should be nervous is me. I have to propose to her in public. And today its very busy over here but I feel it’s very fun. For this scene I have to wear a tuxedo. It’s my first time wearing a tux proposing in public so I feel its fun.

Astrid: This scene is very important because Raymond has to propose to Tavia. Because previously he made you sad

Tavia: Broke up already

Astrid: Yes, so this time our police team and her family and also Raymond’s family and all the friends all gathered on this street. Initially, Tavia was shopping for grocery with her mum and then we told her we have a “special mission”. Raymond will appear and propose to her a very romantic scene

Tavia: Don’t know if this happens in real life. Think yes?

Astrid: I think it does happen [indicating to Tavia] so beautiful right?

Tavia (laughs): Yes, so handsome [referring to Raymond]

Astrid: No! I was referring to you!

Voiceover: Proposal stage is a procedure that every male needs to do. But for a proposal, Raymond reckons there are a few things a man needs to prepare.

Raymond: A proposal “must” needs to include sincere effort [Cantonese: "sing yee"] and erm, also a girl to propose to [laughs] a girl you love. And I think you really need a ring, a diamond ring because it symbolizes eternity but I think [face suddenly turns serious] the props department today forgot to prepare for the diamond ring. I think I’ll need to use my sincere effort (during the proposal) to make up for it.

Voiceover: Getting married and having children is a process every girl must go through, but is it getting married first? Or first have kids? Ending, not every girl is the same. Like Tavia’s sister Griselda who had her baby first. Will Tavia be like her sister or be traditional first getting married then have children?

Tavia: A woman with both career and marriage is most content

Astrid: Most content, but they are asking you whether you’ll marry first or have children first so like myself, I had a baby first then getting married. Will you then be more traditional?

Tavia: I don’t mind, if I accidently get pregnant I will still have the baby

Astrid: You mean have baby first then get married is still acceptable right?

Tavia: Yeah

Astrid: Modern day females are like this

Tavia [laughing]: No choice

Astrid [bursts out laughing]

Tavia: You can’t not have the baby!

Voiceover: The annual TVB awards ceremony is coming up, will Tavia who won an award previously will move up a step to take the “Best Actress” throne?

Tavia: I think every actor will wish to get the highest honour being “Best Leading Actress” or “Best Leading Actor”. I also really want to get this award but an award is a form of encouragement, it is a recognition for yourself. As for the award, I will think like normal. So long as I put in my best effort into filming it is enough. You can’t set your desire too high for an award- need to achieve it with your skills. This year, I’m able to face the award ceremony with a happy attitude.

Astrid: I think Tavia has something she is very good at. A lot of audience cannot see behind the scene. Normally a lot of actors when they win an award will feel really proud. However, when I act with her, even during scenes when she’s not filming yet, she’ll wait very patiently and will never be late and treat everyone really well. This year in “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” you will need to be a villain. Within our colleagues a lot of us are supporting her.

Tavia: Really?

Astrid: Yes. Because I feel a good person should have a good return.

Tavia: I’ll tell you what, no matter if I win the award or not, I’ll let you see “Best Actress” [turns around and shows her back- a play on the Cantonese words as Best Actress sounds like "back" in Chinese].

Tavia Yeung and Raymond Lam were filming a marriage proposal scene and when they were asked whether it was embarassing or not, Tavia Yeung exclaimed loudly, “Even got also should be Lam Fung!” She expressed that she did not experience before a marriage proposal in real life. She said that if there is someone that willing to propose to her on the street with many peoples and he is her ideal lover, she will immediately agrees to marry him.

Although it was just a filming scene, however Tavia Yeung was touched by Raymond Lam’s proposal on street. When they were filming outdoor scene, other than surrounded by reporters, many peoples asked for photographs with Tavia Yeung.

Raymond Lam will not dream of propose to Linda Chung

TVB series, “Shall We State The Case” last scene was filmed whereby Raymond Lam proposed to Tavia on the street. It was a funny but at the same time a romantic scene. Raymond Lam expressed that he had to kneel down while proposing when the camera rolled officially and laughed that this was a definite action to do during marriage proposal. “I dont mind kneeling down. I feel that a marriage proposal is supposed to be like this.” When asked whether he had any marriage proposal experience in real life, he answered differently, “Never say anyone.” (Linda Chung?) No! I will not even dream of that!”

Extra: Lau Ka Ho added a last minute kiss scene between Raymond and Tavia.

The mag doesn’t really say anything at all about SWSTC or FungYi, other than the photo on the bottom right. It basically says that Raymond’s the ‘cool version’ of Laughing Gor since he’s using a coin to make a decision. His is to determine his love life.

This one’s pretty interesting…it’s actually published in a magazine but the reporter/writer of it is like a fan of FungYi & Sammul. It’s almost like a fanfic that’s been published into a mag, haha it’s quite cool.

Summary of the mag scan:

The first one basically just reiterates how Tavia’s mom wanted her to be a police woman, and now even though she chose to be an artiste instead she gets a taste of what it’s like to be a police woman, which is also the title.
And picture caption is how she gets hurt during a rescue. And that she has an extra for the more difficult scenes so the chances of her getting hurt are decreased.

Second scan is just how obsessed she is with the uniform (ahaha, think costume fitting) and how she feels so cool wearing it ’cause you need to be really fit and all to be able to pull the look off.
The first photo with Mary Hon says how Tavia takes a few steps back because of the makeup on Mary Hon…it makes her look very distressed and tired.
Second caption praises Tavia on how meticulous she is her seniors, helping Mary Hon fix her hair.
The one on the bottom left is that Tavia’s (or in this case Tsui Siu Lai) constantly trying to get help from outside of the forest/wherever they are by calling, all the while carrying Mary Hon.
And the last one with Raymond in it, It says that since he plays Mary’s son in the series when he went to the scene he was very emotional upon seeing her still alive.
