History

Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung together are a very compelling and well liked TVB on-screen couple. The whole idea of starting Simply Fungyi as a site first started when a bunch of fungyi fans on Asianfanatic where wondering why other TVB couples have their own fan site but a highly popular couple like Fungyi did not have an English website where fans of couple could easily share news and talk about the couple freely. As the Fungyi fan base in AF began to grow we had discovered that there were many talented Fungyi fans that could all contribute into making a new Fungyi fan site. At the start of 2008 two Fungyi fans irrationally_adept and sakura_drop (at Asianfanatic) decided together to open Simplyfungyi in a blogspot account. When we first opened the blogspot we had also asked a few Fungyi fans at Asianfanatic to help out with the site. The site first started out as nothing more than to provide small group of Fungyi fans at Asianfanatic with a better place to get their resources about Raymond, Tavia or Fungyi. As the site began to grow we wanted to provide Fungyi fans with a better site, therefore we decided to purchase a domain for Simplyfungyi and move to a new server.

Now Simply Fungyi is run by a whole team of talented Fungyi fans and the site was expanded to have its own domain name, a forum and a SFY subbing team. The site may have drastically changed from when we first started but our purpose will always be to provide all Fungyi fans with the best resources. The Simply Fungyi team is always trying to find ways to improve the site. So stick around to see what the future will bring for Simply Fungiy!!~

Why the name Simply Fungyi?

The name ‘Simply Fungyi’ was formed because we thought just naming the site Fungyi would be a bit plain so wanted to add a word before Fungyi so the site would flow and sound more attractive. We thought of a few names but Simply Fungyi seemed to sound the best.
